another lamp question

I have a Sundash Platinum 10 minute bed. I recently put x-treme BAUVL 74/100w/8x in it. Compatible to what it has listed on the bed. I'm getting mixed reactions from my customers. Most are happy but others say they don't get anything with it. What do I say? and does anyone know how many hours these lamps are good for?
thanks, Marj

Re: another lamp question

They are rated for 1000-1200hrs but you should probably run them for about 700-800 or so. How many hours are on the lamps?

Re: another lamp question

there are only 57 hours on the lamps. I just changed them. Some customers say they get more out a 20 minute bed then this 10 minute one.

Re: another lamp question

x8 is 15 min.

10 min. 100 watt beds are stupid, just burning beds. Not enough power for the short session so you need high B lamps for any results. 10 min. and under should be 160-200 watt ballasts for real tanning in a short time.

Brian's right - you are just going to have to live with uneven results.

Re: another lamp question

X8 is a LSI 8.5% which many people use as their 10 min lamps. There are 9.5% available if you want something stronger. I do not know if AUVL carries them.

Re: another lamp question

What is the best lamp for best results to put in this 10 minute bed? and can I put the 74" 100W lamps in my Sundash II 20 minute bed? even tho it calls for 73" lamps?

Re: another lamp question

No, 74's won't retrofit.
