I just received Bermuda Gold Premium tanning lamps. They are 71" and 105watts. How do you find how old they are there are some #s on them CEY 350 A420

Their age does not really matter, its the output that counts. If there were stored for a long time, I hope they were laying down and not stood upright.

Age doesn't matter at all. The only way a lamp goes bad is if it is used or broken. They can sit for 20 years & be like new.

Y350 = Dec 2001. Yeah, they are old.

How does being stood upright make a difference?

John knows for sure, but I think it has to do with the mercury. It will pool at one end.

I was also told to flip the lamps in a stand-up halfway through their life.

What about lamps that are made to stand-up in one direction such as the AUVL lamps?

I have my spare lamps standing up right, never herd they would go bad if they are not laying down. Is this true?

It is to protect them from shattering if knocked over. If they are laying down then they can't be knocked over otherwise it makes no diference how they are stored.
