Electronic ballasts are not what they are cracked up to be.

So the lamps I bought from John@URI you consider cheap lamps? His price for "better" lamps were much better then any quote I got.

What brand do you call "better"?

Supra/Radium for HP is where it's at.

Wow what quick responses by all of you.

Soo much to consider now..
I am in an area where there are no tanning salons in my city(with an ammoratorium (spelling?) that no more salons of any kind can open), no tanning salon in the city north or south either., after that there are no real big HP beds anywhere. I leased out a salon that had just closed its doors. Its previous owner had 3 ultrabronz 818's. I worked there about 5 years prior to its closing, and we had clientele driving past 10 salons to come to our place.
I know i am in the right spot to have HP. I have the right amount of power to have a magic, i just dont think i have enough AC.
I appreciate everyones advice and opinions, and here is our bed line up soo far..

room 1 Tan America Catalina
room 2 Tan America Pacifica w/ facials
(w/160 VHOs all around, not the usual 100/160 setup)
room 3 Ultrabronz Harmony or 924
room 4 L33 or MAGIC
room 5 Magic Tan Versa spa

also, hoping to find a used stand up HP Unit SOON!

If you had a Magic you could get tan in a 10 min session or less, that the beauty of being able to crank it up or down. As for your lamp pricing you can get basically the same pricing for either the Matrix or Magic. I was quoting MSRP. I will shoot you pricing on your Matrix later. Got to get some beds!

I have an electrician "buddy" who keeps very busy replacing e-ballasts used in commercial lighting applications. Warrantee calls are driving him nuts.

You will need the same amount for either HP bed. 3 tons is recommended.
