Re: Any feedback on the Ergo Prestige 1100?
Renaissance, this is not like a wimpy 600 Affinity/Evo . That bed tans as good as a Sperti facial tanner. This bed will perform as well as anything else out there including the version 2 Gate and I Bomb. With 200 watt auto regulating e-ballasts driving the tubes and agressive VIT facial tanners that get to 4 meds in a hurry this bed will kick ***! It also will kick *** while looking IMO better than any other bed available in North America.

Re: Any feedback on the Ergo Prestige 1100?
There is a few advantages you should have with the prestige over the sungate. 1) they guarentee 1200 hours out of your lamps. There is a computer that sences when the uv out drops and adds more power. 2) Out-put should be higher because of the electronic ballast 3) Should draw less electricity due to the electronic ballast. Disadvantage, from what I hear the price should be more expensive.

Re: Any feedback on the Ergo Prestige 1100?
Oh boy, here we go with the guarantees.
How do they "guarantee"? Do they buy you another set when they meter over 10min to 4MED or is it based on actual results? Ergoline shouldn't be focusing on long lasting lamps. They should be focused on making equipment that doesn't break down acrylics on a regular basis like they are unimportant. Or use lamps that actually TAN not just meter high on the 7.0. Or figure out how their base beds are supposed to be cheap tanning yet require 40amp breakers on a 28 100watt setup. Their stuff makes no sense.

Re: Any feedback on the Ergo Prestige 1100?
The 1100 was a good looking bed and might out tan any bed in the states right now. Be on the look out for the new beds coming from KBL. There were shown 1st at Solaria and the power of those beds should be in good comp with the 1100.
Meter readings in the 1100 was even good in Europe even thoe they have to give lower out put there. (readings were around 43.3 at the bench couldnt get any other reading due to model hogging the bed up) Will put up pics of the new KBL once I find out how to do that on here

Re: Any feedback on the Ergo Prestige 1100?
43.3 on a Solarmeter 5.0? I hope to **** not. That's a disgrace for this kind of tanning bed.
I get that out of my Ovation. Also, what kind of VOODOO are they dealing with to get longer hours out of LOW PRESSURE TUBE LAMPS? You can't keep turning up the ballast and get more life out of them like a HIGH PRESSURE lamp. Not even close.

Re: Any feedback on the Ergo Prestige 1100?
The 1100 is a VERY impressive bed! Ergo has a winner with this one -- definitely compares favorably with Sungates and S-Classes - and then some.
Agree re. KBL too. The Germans have historically done the best when it comes to big VHR. The new technology that KBL and Ergo are utilizing now will raise the bar for all. |

Quote:
There is no way that Ergoline has any clue on UV geometry. Who the heck in their right mind would decide to put air flows in the MIDDLE OF THE CANOPY!!!...... now for you people who believes this makes no difference, I don't want to hear it. It does affect the out put and readings of the unit in the middle of the body where the meter is usually pointed, that's why as i move my meter on my Affinity it actually reads higher by about 8 - 10 points on the sides. That idea with the auto-regulating e-ballasts is just what sun capsule did with their 1.8 meter lamps.... they are trying to **** you so you can only buy lamps from them. (just more proof that nobody is making any money anymore) I also heard that the owner of the bed has no control over the increase in wattage to the lamps, it has to be done by someone else through JK or Ergoline. (maybe just a rumour, someone please clarify) As far as looks, hands down this one is a BIG winner, they are just unbelievable with the designs of their equipment. I wish for an Ergoline that tans like a Gate ;) The facials are around 2.5 - 3.0 UVB already with the new Affinity reflectors and glass, do they really need to come out with those stupid spagghetti facials?? Are we not trying to tan people?? Why can't someone come out with bed that actually uses 2 m lamps on the base so they are true 200 watt lamps and not always being over driven. I think enough of us salon owner are FU***** fed up with this marketing B.S. and spending ridiculous money per year on lamps that is totally not necessary. Just another way to dump more money into someone elses pockets.
