Sunstorm canopy running too hot?

Anyone have Sunstorms that have run hotter than seems normal, on the canopy under and above the facials, even when the cooling system seems to be pumping out the appropriate amount of air?

How hot is normal? How hot is yours getting? Are you saying the acrylic is causing third degree burns when someone toches it, or what?

Re: Sunstorm canopy running too hot?

No burns but definetly extremely hot to the touch momentarily and showing signs of warping my acrylic.

Re: Sunstorm canopy running too hot?

If it's warping the acrylics then your cooling system is not functioning properly.

Re: Sunstorm canopy running too hot?

That just means the bed is a BEAST and no plastic can contain it's awesome tanning power!

Re: Sunstorm canopy running too hot?

Definetly a BEAST!

We thought the cooling system was wacky too but every nook and cranny of it has been checked, rechecked and pain stakingly checked again.

Is it possible we may have bulbs that are too hot? We have the appropriate wattage in them but aren't bulbs regulated by the wiring and other components attached to them? Could there be something with these parts? Could the facial glass be the problem?

Grasping at straws.

Re: Sunstorm canopy running too hot?

They are what, 1000watt lamps? That's a LOT OF HEAT as in there should be A/C blowing almost directly on them.

A lot of air.

Re: Sunstorm canopy running too hot?

Make sure the plastic surrounds around the hinges are snapped together properly. Also make sure the chicken wire screen in the bench isn't clogged.

Re: Sunstorm canopy running too hot?

Also make sure you have vented the exhaust out of the room, otherwise the ambient temperature of the room will create a heating issue.
