Hot Stuff have YOU actually tanned in a Mastersun? Have YOU actually metered a Mastersun YOURSELF? Are you just reporting what YOU are hearing from other people?

Re: Comparing High Pressure Beds. Magic vs. Open Sun 1050???

Back to the magic and ergo1050. Tan Tanya might only be asking about those two units because the other units mentioned are probably in her area already and she really might not care about OTHER beds. It would help to try the beds first but I never tried our HP bed before purchasing it and made a very good choice, I did try others and didn't like them however. As far as opinion on the magic and 1050 I think the 1050 has a lot more WOWness to the looks. If it's going be displayed in a window that's important. I think the magic is a more complicated unit that's living up to it's good name. I couldn't imagine either one of them NOT tanning you like it should! I would go by price, setup help, availabilty, customer service and waranty.

Re: Comparing High Pressure Beds. Magic vs. Open Sun 1050???

Sport, I have not tanned in the Mastersun. I am going by what other people have posted
in the forum. Since no one from Sporterreddo has posted photos of a meter reading of
the Mastersun, that is all we have to go on. We can settle this once and for all. I have
a brand new beautiful salon that has an extra room set up for another HP bed ready
to go. You bring a Mastersun down here and set it up and we can have a tan off to see
which of the two beds my customers like the best. We will set them both at the same
price and let the customer choose which one they like the best. You can send one
of your guys down here to sell the Mastersun so that there will be no favoritism
toward the Magic. We could have a 3 or 4 day tan off. If the Mastersun is my
customers favorite bed, I will come on this forum and any other you want and state
that yours was the favorite. If the Magic wins, you will do the same. I am 200 miles south
of you so it is not a long trip. As Howie would say" Deal or no Deal."

Tan Tanya you are new to the boards and we don't want a few certain posters to scare you off. It gets to the point where you need to weed out the ego's and find what works for you. I personally tried 4 HP units and bought a 360 degree HP bed. I don't sell them and I'm continually learning about them. All of them will tan you and if somebody tries to tell you one doesn't they need a new career maybe. You might just want to email someone that seems to be professional about it :)

Re: Comparing High Pressure Beds. Magic vs. Open Sun 1050???

In all fairness to all who have been going back and forth about the Mastersun and the Magic. Matt and I did discuss in depth the fact that I had at least 240v delta running in my salon. Steve also got involved in our discussions. Matt suggested that I buck my power down to 230 and Steve thought I shouldn't have to. They both told me that I would really get some good performace for the first 100 hours or so, but with the higher voltage, my lamps would not last as they would if I were running at 230v. I left my voltage at 240-245 and had a couple of things happen to my Mastersun. Sporterrado did cover these items, no questions asked. Regarding my lamp life, my lamps were totally shot at 400 hours, with some burning out completely. The cost of a lamp change using EOM lamps in the Mastersun is approximatley $2400. This is what happened and I hope this clears up some bickering issues.

Parrot Head, all I did is repeat what you had said in a earlier post. I guess Matt took
exception to what I said like I was making it up. I try to stay to the facts as best as I can.
I am not always perfect. What am I saying? I am always perfect.

What happens behind the scenes after someone posts is not something I can predict.
All is good.
