Re: Tanses

Ours don't have side fans....those are newer models. We put high powered circular fan at foot of bed not to blow the persons hair everywhere.

Re: Tanses

Engfant, most tanning beds are designed to run at between 220 VAC and 230 VAC. While most of these beds get better results when the no-load input voltage is closer to at least 235 VAC, the extra heat and power load stresses the components. That means shorter component life, overheating of equipment, more likely part meltdowns, etc.

Equipment that has robust enough internal wiring and cooling, and capacitors, and connectors, and ballast, etc, etc, can run at 240 VAC and take advantage of the higher output intensity from the lamps cause by the higher input voltage.

Re: Tanses

Same thing Dr Muller has done for years, crank up the voltage. The facials won't even light under 225. But they have better cooling to deal with that. Tanses are hot boxes, henceŽ the name Deer cookerŽ.

Re: Tanses

On two of my last Suncapsule installs I got explicit approval to leave the voltage at a full 240+.

That is one piece of equipment that I have no problem whatsoever leaving in overdrive.

Re: Tanses

Juice the lamps = Great Tans & poor lamp life.

There is no doubt the 54 lamp VHOR Tanses bed will tan you, it will by default.

I would however like to see some 7.0 meter readings on it.

Re: Tanses

Yes, John I agree with you. 7 minutes is an awful short session time. Would like to see those readings after 50 Hrs. The key to the Tanses units is how close the canopy is to the body.

Now keep in mind that most 160W units will have the lamps closer to the body on the bench then the canopy. I have not had one unit over the years that would satisfy color on my back with a 7 minute session. Does this unit use the Hereaus 26/160 lamp at about 4.3% uvb or what? To reach a 7 minute TE time the uvb MUST be very high. OR it is not really a 7 minute session. This must be for marketing. Looks like more of a 10 minute unit.

Re: Tanses

especially with the new era lamps on the market anything under 10min and not juicing the lamps is poopie.
