Re: Soltron Beds??

Hey, you're not telling me anything I don't already know. I had to try to deal with this company. You would not believe how many times I had take and submit digital pictures of all my defective acrylics. First, I sent them to the ditsy-he lost them. Next, I sent them to the ditsy and the company. they were not good enough. I finally had to catalog every acrylic, show a picture of the acrylic and show each acrylic and the corresponding serial no. on the bed. Then to top it off, I had to pay almost $400 for shipping and when I received the new acrylics they were scratched because they weren' packaged properly when they shipped them.

Re: Soltron Beds??

Parrot head. To seperated the side acrylic from the bench is very simple. a couple of screws and c clips and it slides right apart. I would think you could order parts from anyone you choose since its a "customer pay" issue.

Re: Soltron Beds??

Ah sorry friends. A tanning bed that costs as much as those do should have some sort of warranty based on HOURS OF USAGE or X years whichever comes first.

If you are telling me that these acrylics are only good for 500hrs then IN MY OPINION (which is free and clear from all lawsuits DOUCHEBAGS) they are KNOWINGLY selling a product that's faulty.

If someone has a PROBLEM with what I'm saying, then you need to SPEAK UP cause I call em as I see em.

The only problem is this issue has kinda a track record and maybe you should have known about it? I'm SURE the disty never mentioned it to anyone.

Can't IMAGINE why...

Re: Soltron Beds??

I thought they had this thing that you had to but through your distributor. I know that Jeff worked it out that I could buy direct from the company. Now that he is no longer with the company, I am being told that all orders have to go through my current distributor. I called Global to order some lamps like I have in the past and they told me I had to go through my distributor. I told em' come on now, if I order through my distributor it will take weeks; from you, I will have them in less then a week. They sent them to me. Thanks for the info. Soltron really didn't have a track record when I bought the beds. They were new to the States then.

Re: Soltron Beds??

IN NO WAY am I faulting you Parrot head. I'd LOVE to have a salon of that type of equipment. Just crazy how that company almost seems to go out of their way to slack off.

Just terrible.

I get just as ****** at low lives like Ford Motor Corp and Co. Just S box after S box and they wonder why their stock is a lousy $8/share.

Nothing like having a recall on a brand new car cause the ENGINE CATCHES FIRE.

Yeah, that's normal wear and tear.

At least Ford owns up to it by issuing 37 recalls on their autos that cost as much as those tanning machines.

I'm for the little guy ESPECIALLY when the big guy is a big creepy loser.

Re: Soltron Beds??

what does Ford have to do with this. The fact is soltron has an issue with acrylics and has replaced a ton of them under warranty. The new ones I received under warranty have 1500 hrs on them and no cracking. what size rooms do you have and how much ac??

Re: Soltron Beds??

Only if they changed their design and got some support under the acrylic. I got four Hot Peppers I'll sell ya', but they need new acrylics. Why would you want to buy any more beds from that company? They are expensive to buy and expensive to maintain.

Re: Soltron Beds??

I love the look of the beds but there is no way I'm going to buy them just a prayin' that they've fixed the issue. No way. Not only does it sound like a financial issue but it also sounds like a time issue and my time is money. I can't waste my day tracking down disty's, sending picks, and trying to reason on the phone with a company who doesn't really sound like they care. They sure have not offered their side on this which leads me to suspect that they wouldn't have much to say. Thank you for saving me the hassle. I have UWE beds right now and I have never had an issue. When we first opened there were issues but they were not PC Marketings fault but the fault of the shipping and electricians but PC Marketing fixed everything right away. I guess I'll stick with them or maybe Sportarredo (I'll have to post a thread about those). Too bad. They are some cool looking beds.
