Re: Have 15 of 30 reflector lamps, top or bottom?

i agree with the stripping......its not a joke either.

reflector lamps aim the UV directly straight toward the tanner. If the bed is built to use non reflectors dont use the reflector lamp. Non reflector lamps emit light from the whole lamp and use reflective coatings/materials on the bed itself to deliver the light to the tanner.......especially so if the lamps are spaced kinda far apart. The further apart the lamps the worse the stripes.

Re: Have 15 of 30 reflector lamps, top or bottom?

Thanks again Tan Man. The beds I have all have that tin foil looking backdrop, but the lamps are close together. So regardless, I'm sure if anything, it will help. Why does everyone top drop? They will all decline at the same rate, unless you think it is from heat rising. Funny?

Neon, I'd rather not have any piece of equipment operating with concerns.
Personally another week with the same lamps isn't going to make or break you. Also, I was really referring to pulling the acrylic, installing the lamps alternating old and new as being a lot of work, and it would be easier just to wait. But if you put all new up top, then it makes sense.
