Re: new matrix
Egro has an 850 that is HP on the canopy. I'm sure they will produce an great all HP unit. Of course it would be best to try before you buy. I'd like to get one when I can afford it, and if it's good which I believe it will be : ) He didn't give me the specs on the output but that will all be available at the expo and on their website soon.
Carribbean Island tan, what do you mean? "Price will be definately close to 636" |

Re: new matrix
The reason many companies have done the "combo units" (HP on the top, LP on the bottom) is because it is noticeably more challenging to create an ALL HP unit. Cooling issues can be quite vexing. So being able to do one well, is no guarantee of being able to transition to the other.
Nobody has tried the "New Matrix" (by TanAmerica) yet, because it is not in the field yet. They are still in testing. Finally, the reference to "636" is the Magic 636. As I read summarized somewhere else, Italians do a REALLY good job on HP (e.g. Iso Italia), Germans do well with the VHR's (e.g. KBL, Ergo,...) and the U.S. produces nice entry level equipment (e.g. Tan America, Heartland,..). When possible, stick with the company's specialty. |

Re: new matrix
The 'new' Matrix I'm inquiring about is still made by ISO. (it has the 'ER' tag). They have re-configured the lamps and reflectors. I thought some of these new Matrix have been installed.
I believe the new HP Tan America bed is called the Solarix and looks nice as well. Last edited by jam; 10-08-2006 at 08:59 AM. |

Re: new matrix
Jam,
I have not personally tanned in the unit yet. I plan to do so before the show in Nashville. Working on the base tan now! email me if you would like & I'll send you contacts that have the units up & running. jhayes@uriworld.com So far 100% satisfaction. A few guys had older ISO Matrix models & they claim the newer L33 ER unit is far superior.

Re: new matrix
The Filters are different on this one. In between the classic stuff and the new stuff. So a little lower in UVB and better reflector system. Heard the wattage would be 620 on face and 580 on body
