Re: Sonnenbraun bulb issues

The bed is an 844 Gold. Does that help? Thanks for all your input - we've checked the wires on the back and can't seem to locate anything.

Re: Sonnenbraun bulb issues

844 is close to the Pryzma, let me know exactly which lamps are out and if they are on the bench or the canopy. Sorry for the delay in seeing your reply. You can PM me as I get my email faster.

Re: Sonnenbraun bulb issues

I think you have a loose conection going to your ballast bank. I'd check in the very front of the unit for the loose connection. Often they get knocked loose when you are cleaning the dust bunnies out of the trays. You can check for current at the ballasts with a volt meter or just feel for the ice cold ones after you run the bed for 5 minutes. Follow those wires and I bet you find the loose connection.

Me hates when these topics go to pm's. then we never get to know what happened or what the problem was.

Re: Sonnenbraun bulb issues

Sorry about telling them to PM me but sometimes with an issue like this its easier to trade phone numbers and fax schematics to take care of this issue. For this issue you need to pin point the ballast etc in order to fix it and also do some voltage checks so phone is the easiest way to explain what to do then typing back and forth and back and forth etc.

Re: Sonnenbraun bulb issues

i have a orbit 12 min. bed from dr.muller. the top lamps i use are called cosmolux 140 vhp. i am new with this bed. do the lamps go in with the clearer side facing down toward the tanner or do the solid white part face down toward the tanner.

Re: Sonnenbraun bulb issues

Juliana, these are called reflector lamps and the clear faces the customer. Normally if you have the writing facing out, your ok. Cosmolux are an excellent lamp for this unit. When you relamp, put the VHR TT in it, just a smig more UVB. Also, if you need help on something, its better to post your own thread requesting help and it will be answered quicker. Good Luck... Oh!, also it would be a good idea to put electronic starters in the unit as well.
