Stay Away From Megasun Equipment

About 5 years ago one of my clients purchased 3- 32 lamp Megasun beds. Recently one of the systems caught fire completely burning up. When the bed was inspected it was found that there was a melt down at the relay causing a fire. After further inspection a second of the three beds was melting down and would have the next to burn. My client contacted Ron Poe regarding this issue and said he was not responsible and would do nothing. Any system can have a problem, this is where dealing with a manufacturer that understands the concept of support after the sale comes in. Always equipment that is manufacture that is willing to take responsibility for their product. This was a surprise to me, I thought Ron was much more concerned with his product.

Mega Sun = Mega Crap Ron Poe has never stood behind anything.

There is another bed company out there that has a similar problem melting at the relay. They are made in the usa and the company name is recognised by 3 letters any guess on who?. The 24-28 lamp beds either go at the relay or where they feed the first ballast and pigy back the power.

Seen it with ETS but at least ETS has some customer service and support and stands behind thier units not saying that I would buy anything ETS.

ETS has some pretty good equipment, Megasun not so good.

I coined the phase Mega sun = Mega Sh#%

Even a newby looking into buying tanning beds sent me a email with my exact phase. They were talking to Mega sh## a couple of months ago.
I have meet a couple at a conference last month they knew my phase.

Can we all say the catch phase!!!
Ron Poe never will call you back or fix the problem!!

Has anyone on here noticed that the "off brands" SUCK? Invest in your business and don't cut corners, this is when you run into issues. Stick with the bigger names that have a reliability and satisfied clients. Don't just do it to save a buck, you'll be sorry

you get what you pay for. One should be smart enough to know if they are getting a bigger bed for less then a smaller bed, there is a reason why.
