Crazy, this morning went to salon 4am and checking all the beds and worked on the Matrix alittle, started it up and all the lamps lit as soon as it was turned on. Shut it down and turned it on again (about 10 times) all the lamps are lighting as soon as it is turned on. Did I fix something? Haven't replaced the ignitors yet.

Re: Matrix L33 Relamp kit

I am relamping early because AUVL lamps gave out after just 250 hours. TA is suggesting changing ignitors and going to blade terminals. I'm not really understanding the benefit of such an expense. Will the change bring better results and/or lamp life?

Re: Matrix L33 Relamp kit

The change of the igniters is a good idea. but changing to the blade connections on the lamps is a waste of money.

Re: Matrix L33 Relamp kit

crystalnc,
You should look into the ISO Italia Kit direct from Italy or just purchase the original ISO Italia wire lead lamps.

Re: Matrix L33 Relamp kit

I'm relamping with the ISO lamp - but I'm just not understanding why the ignitors need to be changed. Will the change intensify the session and/or make the lamps last longer?

Re: Matrix L33 Relamp kit

If your using the ISO lamps there is no need to change ignitors. Either way all they do is start a lamp so they would not intensify a session or make the lamp stronger.

Re: Matrix L33 Relamp kit

The kit TA provides is different then the one made by ISO and a is a real POS.

If their new HP unit uses the same lamp as their Matrix retro kit they are in big trouble.

The TA kit is made in Japan with a different end on the lamp then the ISO kit so the two lamps are not compatible with each other and will not fit in each others lampholders so don't think you are going to get the TA kit to keep your warranty and use ISO lamps in it cuz they won't fit.

The Jap kit is of poor quality and will be nothing but problems. If you are considering changing your Matrix to plug in lamps get the ISO kit or stick with the original wire lead setup.

Brian:

Since you have posted the above on all three websites, I "suspect" that you are installing the ISO kit.

Are you?
