Re: Ergoline Open Sun

Ergoline alert - Ergoline alert!!

No matter WHAT you say, or ask, you'll have a couple of stalkers that INSIST on talking shi-ate about them -- although they have NEVER owned the equipment, worked on them, and probably not even used them!

Some of the biggest tanning salon groups in the U.S. right now -- CA Sun Centers, Darque Tan, Palm Beach Tan, Suntan City, LA Tans, and many, many other well known "local" salon groups have used Sundash & Ergoline equipment over the years and built a pretty darn successful business for themselves.

At any given level, at any given year, can you find some beds that meter higher? Sure. Also many that meter lower! Of course, in any given salon you'll find that too, since some salon owners choose to get pretty smart and aggressive in their lamp practices and others don't.

Are they the absolute best beds you could possibly ever buy ever, and will they never have a problem ever? Nope. But I'd take my chances on them over a lot of the others out there!

It depends on your market, your mix, your competition, your budget, and more. However, it is a complete fallacy and lie to suggest that ALL Ergoline equipment is crap or ALL Ergoline owners wind up on the fast track to bankruptcy or any of the other shrill "the sky is falling, the sky is falling" comments that some feel compelled to interject EVERY time there is a question that even half-related to Ergoline equipment.

I don't work for them, never have. But I do own some of their equipment, it DOES tan well, and it HAS been quite reliable and a very cost effective and profitable purchase for my salon. That's my "science".

Re: Ergoline Open Sun

Yeah I owned them at a salon i USE to own, when I sold that one moved to a new state and opened another one... I KNEW better.

As a tanner I have tanned in over 10 salons that use that equipment, NEVER got color.

SOOOOO I spoke from experience. or science... whatever you want to call it.

I believe there is better equipment available for a lower cost to purchase and maintain.

Re: Ergoline Open Sun

stick to the subject. the open sun has higher wattage facial 800w . they use different filter glass. but the low pressure lamps are still a little soft just like the rest of the ergo beds. just need to run higher voltage to get good color manufacturer recommends 225-235 I'd say 240v and you will see good results. good bed if you have customers that are claustorphobic. im sure other manufacturers will follow this design for that reason. just my .02

Oh, well then, let me be the FIRST to throw down $45K plus aggravation for that thing.

What a joke.

And just to respond to:
"Some of the biggest tanning salon groups in the U.S. right now -- CA Sun Centers, Darque Tan, Palm Beach Tan, Suntan City, LA Tans, and many, many other well known "local" salon groups have used Sundash & Ergoline equipment over the years and built a pretty darn successful business for themselves."

These franchises use this equipment for the same reasons Walmart carries the brands they carry. They are getting FAT DISCOUNTS that the average jerk isn't able to get AND they are really good looking tanning beds that sell on looks alone.

Nothing to do with performance and EVERYTHING to do with looks and volume discounts.

MAY work for a HIGH volume salon that gets a TON of 1 time walk ins but in a Suburb setting, forgetaboutit.

Re: Ergoline Open Sun

The Open Sun is nowhere close to 45K, I think under 20K .......... excuse my ignorance if you were being sarcastic.

I don't think those facails can possibly tan good setup like that.
