Residential Tanning Bed

Does anyone own and use a bed at home? If so, can you tell me what brand, how many lamps, what wattage lamps, etc....upkeep costs (cleaner, new lamps) Any info is greatly appreciated as I'm looking to purchase a home unit..Thank You!

Re: Residential Tanning Bed

Just a suggestion...

If you really want a home unit, visit all the taning salons in your area and ask if they are planning to upgrade any beds soon. We always sell our smaller beds to home users when we upgrade equipment to bigger beds.

Try out the bed before you buy it. The salon can also be your source for lamps, cleaner and indoor tanning lotion.

Re: Residential Tanning Bed

Yes, if your looking for something used get a commerical bed 32-35 lamps for your house instead of buying some smaller 24 lamp units. I have salon owners that are selling beds out of their salons, all depends on what state you are in. Let me know and I may be able to help you out. Thanks, Jeff

I have some home tanning units available. Anywhere from 24-32 bulbs.

Re: Residential Tanning Bed

I might suggest you check into your electric panel capacity to start with. Depending on if you have to run a new circuit (more lamps, more power required). You can only run the smaller beds on a standard 15 amp circuit. I had a sunvision 24 in the house before I opened the salon. I think it required a 240 volt circuit.

Re: Residential Tanning Bed

I have 24 lamp and 32 lamp used beds available (24 lamp beds require 20amp 240 volt and 32 lamp beds require 30 amp). I removed them from my salon in March.
