Question sound systems

We have beds that don't have sound systems. Does anyone have any good recommendations for adding sound systems to beds or to the room?

Thanks!

Re: sound systems

most salons have a radio up front and speakers in each room. or you could go with a boom box in each room and headphones.

Re: sound systems

Thank god my husband and father-in-law own a sound & lighting company. They installed speakers with volume controls in each room. The only problem is that only 1 radio station can play through the whole salon.

Re: sound systems

We use an auto stereo/Disk Player mount in a under dash box. Bolt that to the wall by the head of the bed. Wired a 12 vdc power plug to the stereo. Head phones only. Works out great. About $125 each.

Re: sound systems

Yeah, clubtan, we did something like that, I think. I don't know what a dash box is. We got something flat to go on the wall at the head of each bed. We get lousy reception in our neighborhood and so having a system to play cds on is essential. The drawback that I see in regards to having one main stereo with music piped into the rooms is that our clients are young college kids with very strong opinions about their music selection. I'm interested in what kind of a stereo/disk player you use, clubtan1. We rigged our Target brand players so that they only play thru headsets (which I seem to have to replace every 3 months). But they are cheaper models, tho they look okay. So now they're not working--some. It's time to replace them.

Re: sound systems

i think headphones are unsanitary....especially those little ones with the foam ear pads.....eww. i suggest the leather headphones and cleaning them when cleaning the unit.

Re: sound systems

Yeah, I know what you mean about the foam. There are replacements for the foams, but they're not cheap. I would be concerned that leather ones would get trashed fast. Where do you rent headphones?

Re: sound systems

sunworship when i say rent headphones i mean you the salon owner rents them to the client per session for say $2 or they buy their own cheap ones that you sell

four seasons sells cheap headphones for $2.95 salon cost.
