Is High UVB Good For Anything?

For 12 min beds, with 160's in canopy and 100's in base would a high UVB such as 6.5 or 8% benefit anyone? Any skin type?

Reason I'm asking is because I read so many conflicting versions. Some people say high UVB will only redden people and the tan is short lived. Others say they have customers who love them. So, I'm asking if I were to relamp one bed with high UVB lamps and leave the rest with more "bronzing UVA" type lamps, would I please anyone? (skin type iv maybe?)

yeah, and I got customers that love CRACK too. Doesn't mean I'm a pusher. High UVB is garbage. Not good for anything UNLESS there is a CRAZY demand for them. I personally HATE them. So dissapointing. How can a lamp BURN you everytime? It's like you NEVER build a resistance to them cause the browning is just non existant.

The previous owner here used Radiance 7000 in all 6 base beds. Reddening as ****. I tried the LSI Beach Suns and fell in love with those. I conducted an informal poll of my long time clients and I found about 40/60 liked the new lamps too. I lamp 3 of my beds in Beach Suns and the other 3 in the Radiance and make everyone happy this way. I have NEVER tanned in the Radiance since I brought in the Beach Suns. I always burn in them. I have some 4 and high 3 skins types that LOVE the Radiance. Just because I (Irish girl here) burn in them every time doesn't mean a darker skinned client will every time.....

Aren't beach suns still high UVB? 6.5% aren't they?

Yes, but lots of A, too, and the B wavelength is effective, not just nuclear.

A 6.5 to one lamp may be completely different in another. In reality, the numbers 6.5, 6.0, 8.5 etc. don't really mean anything. It's marketing!

some people, like me, won't turn red no matter what you put in your beds, no matter how high the UVB.... so maybe do one bed with high UVB for those they can take it...

High UVB lamps are great if you own a lizard or want to look like one.

Reflector lamps are typically really low in UVB from my expierence.

My VHR bulbs are cy Cosmedico and are real LOW in UVB, so I can't help with that answer, sorry :(
