Re: 100 watt lamp with NO UVB?

nope. The closest you can get is the Goldarium 100watt 9K90 by cosmedico. About 1.5-1.9% UVB I believe.

Re: 100 watt lamp with NO UVB?

Actually you can use a lamp like the Philips Performance 100W, which is less than 1% UVB. Or there is also a Philips TL100W/10 which is even weaker.

These lamps will need about 30-45 session time to see color.

It is always good to have a lamp that has a nice balance of UVA & UVB, this will give the best results. The average salon uses a 2.6%-6.5% UVB in most of the entry level equipment. The Higher the % of UVB the shorter the session time, and the faster the results.

Re: 100 watt lamp with NO UVB?

I was talking with Sandra at 4-Seasons lamp sales and she said that their Power Plus Series has lamps with 1% or slightly less UVB. At least that is what I think she said. You might check on the internet and see if that is correct or call her at 800-325-2769. I think she will be there until 1:30 P.M. CST today.

I don't get why you would want a 100 watt bulb with no UVB... can you explain?

Re: 100 watt lamp with NO UVB?

A 100W lamp with little to no UVB could be offered to clients who want to really darken their existing tan. We have one bed that uses Philips Performance lamps which are less than 1% UVB as an alternative for customers who feel they have reached a 'plateau'. We actually recommend this bed for advanced tanners once a week and they see huge darkening in their tans--bronze, not red. They are also great for fair skinned clients who need to start off very slowly and because the bed is a Solana 30 100W lamp bed with no facials, we offer it up for 30 minute sessions for our dark clients and 12 to start for fair skinned customers. They all seem to like it as a change.
