Ok just thinking out loud it.If someone was to put a 160 watt lamp in place of a 100 watt. What would it meter? Would it meter like a 100 watt lamp or better?Would it out tan a 100 watt or be the same?
Would it last longer since it is being underpowered from what it was built for? Has anyone ever tried, metered, and tanned ? |

Re: 160 watt lamp in 100 watt application
It would not perform worth a beans. Yes it would last longer because it is mfg to handle 160 watts. Cathode different than a 100 watt lamp. As far as what it would read on a meter. I have no idea as I would attempt it. I have had customers put 100 watt in a 160 watt unit by accidient and a few sessions later. Out goes the lights.
