New 7 minute suncapsule????

Hello all,

I am considering upgrading my verrryyyy old Suncapsule (1986) and am trying to decide if I want to go for all the bells & whistles with the new 7 minute version for about 25k or just upgrade to what everyone else in the area has (9-11 minutes). I just purchased the salon 3 months ago so I am new to the industry. Also considering the possibility of buying used if I go with the 9-11 minute units. I am thinking the extra $$ for the new 7 minute unit may worthwhile since we will be the only salon in town with it...at least for awhile...and will be able to use it to market. However, we do not offer sunless tanning at this time, and if I purchased a used 9-11 minute Suncapsule I could then use the additional funds for sunless...but most salons in our area already offer this so it would not have the WOW affect of the 7 minute standup. Does anyone out there have any advice or comments?

A 7 minute session doesn't WOW me. Will it WOW your clients?

Well...I was thinking it would since it would be the fastest stand-up in the area....obviously you disagree. Can you give me an idea of why, or what you would consider "WOW"? I can use any insight you can give me as I am a newbie! Thanks again!

Nothing wrong, IMO, with the Supersonic but don't pay $25,000. That is too much. I was going to get it for that same reason but, my Stand up percentage isn't as high as I thought so, no need for 2. Later, I plan to upgrade my Starship200 to that. Mine is too new to bother and clients are happy. Don't see the reason to spend the extra cash right now. Have you tanned in one? That would be the first thing to do. What I am having a hard time figuring out is...if there is a 9min. 200w/60 lamp,...then you have a 7min. 220w/60,....what is the big difference besides 2 min. less for convenience?? I'm still sitting on the whole idea myself.

$18,500 for two less minutes of "inconvenience" definitely not a WOW.

If the tanning times keep getting shorter, will have to develop lamps that tan through clothing. Hardly worth getting nakkie for 7 mins.
