its not for me...but the rest of the eyes on the site...but I would like to hear your opinion about skin care...and the industry..and how good the machine is compared with going to a dermatologist...and what skin conditions work the best with the machine?

Ok.

The device ROCKS, if anyone is skeptical...contact me via PM or e-mail

I would love to post more, but I don't want to be flushed for spamming. I do not work for or currently distribute for RAI. However, I am going to start franchising my concept as soon as we finish opening up the Las Vegas market.

Bottom Line it works, take the leap if you have the bucks. I bought my first unit back in Sept. and have not looked back. This was before RAI even had B&A pics. RAI is one of the most trustworthy suppliers to the industry; I have made good money selling their Tanology line and now with the Lumiere process.

If anyone is going to the LV show, look me up (just look for the tall, dark and handsome guy with a modified Mohawk

Seriously, I should be in the RAI Lumiere suite (in Mandalay Bay) or you can find me at the Cal-Tan party Tue night. I will be walking around the floor as well, and my badge will say 'Tom Brookshire, Lumiere elite'

Better than the derm (except deep scar tissue, moles)
WAY BETTER than a peel, or micro-dermabrasion
We see the best results in the eye area (under and upper)
Good results for fine lines, and hyper-pigmentation
Works on Acne too (I am walking proof)

The Pen I am referring to (not quite sure what Engfant is talking about) is a LED "pen" that does the same as Lumiere, but it is a single LED basically that an dermotologist or a day spa would use.

Lumiere is a cluster of these LED's that cover your entire face vs. just a person goinf over each and every wrinkle on your face.
No offense DC, but I feel the need to clarify. The small pen systems that many salons have bought into are based on the same premise of what Lumiere does, but they don't come anywhere close to delivering the results a customer gets with Lumiere.

Lumiere probably does work. My feeling is you have to decide if you are selling tans or selling skincare. and put 100% of your efforts into that Kinda like selling steak in a vegatarian store.

I have to humbly disagree with springbok on that point. One of the reasons the great majority of tanning salon owners struggle so much and many eventually fail is that they are offering only one thing. And that one thing is only in great demand for a few months out of the year, and according to statistics appeals to only 8% of the total population. Add in thousands of dollars for equipment, lamps, lotions, rent, and the ten competitors with the same offering within 3 miles and it's easy to see why this biz is so tough. It doesn't have to be about this or that. It has to be about what the "consumers", not just the "tanners", want and are willing to pay for. Whether it's Lumiere, or anything else, the principle still applies. "Get'em in the door, and keep'em comin back for more." I encourage everyone to at leat check it out. It could save your business. Good luck.

House of Tan, correct me if I'm wrong, but your Lumiere is in a spa that just provides Lumiere, right? I've heard that you've been very successful with it. We have 2 Lumiere machines, each in a separate tanning salon. I believe the machine does work but am not convinced it belongs in a tanning salon. We've spent thousands of dollars advertising the machine but have had little success. I truly believe the area of the country makes a huge difference also. Us Northeast people are very impatient and want immediate results with everything. That is a problem where the Lumiere is concerned. It does take a couple of months to see the full results and then they are not drastic. I like the machine and so does my husband. WE have had a few people re-sign and do maintainance but many people have told us they prefer the "quick" fixes. Plus when we advertise we have our name on the ads which is a tanning salon, and many people once they see the words "tanning" read no further. We will be in Vegas so we will be looking for you to see what has worked well for you. Anyone who is in New England is more than welcome to come and try the machine at our salons. Like I said, I believe the machine works but there is a lot of work to be done to promote it especially when the general public has never heard of it.

Its always gonna be difficult selling skincare in a tanning salon especially when the product is not a household name. How many calls have you got asking if you have Lumiere. We had plenty of calls for Mystic before we added our First Booth. On the other hand if i owned a spa i would definetely look into Lumiere

I own a salon in NH and my boyfriend owns one in MA , he just got the Lumiere last week, I have not tried it yet but he already had a couple of packages sold before it came in. He advertised in his salon before it came out to educate clients. I think it will do well for him.

I have a nail tech and massage therapist that sublease space from me, so I think the lumiere will fit in well here, but I am curois to see his results first!
