When do you change your 400 watt facial lamps? I think they are rated at 1000 hours, but when do you change them? Do high-pressure lamps have a longer usable life?

1000hrs is too long. As soon as they are struggling to turn on toss them.

500? 600? or even 400?, I see a drop of 20% at 400 hours but am not sure if they should be changed before 30% with the higher (or required) readings.
