Ok, let's see the math getting you to 8.5%.

HI TAN 100W F71
Total UV: 27.3
UVB FLUX: 1.3
UVA FLUX: 26.0

From my experience you divide the total by the UVB
1.3/27.3 = .04761 x 100= 4.761 or 4.76%
or is it into UVA which would give you 5.0%

Don't know how you get 8.5%.

I'll stick to meters and math. Neon, we need the formula at getting UVB%. I'm ALMOST POSITIVE my math is correct but I'm not sure. where is URI when you need em?

The formula for B% is 100*B/Total
The formula for B/A ratio is B/A
The formula for B as a % of A is 100*B/A

The correct formula to use is the first one.
Some people (and companies) mistakenly use the third formula.

BTW, the units of measurement that Cosmedico uses are Watts of flux. The units of measurement that a meter measures are milliwatts/cm squared. However, for percentages and ratios, the units of measurement don't matter.

multiply 100 times the amount of UVB and then divide that by the Total amount of UV

That means for the 10199 the equation is 100*1.3/27.3= 4.76% UVB
