We have The 32/0 and the 32/3....anybody have any suggestions as to what lamp has worked best for these beds? They tend to get quite hot after 4-5 sessions.

Originally these units came with Dr. Kern Excellent ER Lamps. You will here they are weak. They are not weak, they do not last as long as other 100 Watt lamps in the market. They are only rated for 500 hours. You are in Michigan, so you can use a wide variety of lamps in these units. Relector lamps are recommended by manuafacture although full coat lamps work fine. I would suggest putting in a Cosmolux Esp. We have very good results with them. You state the bed is getting hot, do you have vented panels on them around the bench?

The Excellent ER lamp is weak!

Try a Cosmolux VLR, LSI Signature Series 100W-R, Heraeus 20/100R or Philips Swift R. They will all provide a slightly faster result with nice bronze color!

Thank you for the replies. Yes we have the vented panels, when we put the vented panel on we left the side legs off for better air flow. Still a little warm, gonna try to drop a vent behind it so the air conditioning will blow accross the customer.

I would just try to get more ventilation to the room.

The lamps that John mentioned are not compatible for the ER although the will work fine. AS far as the strength of the ER lamp, I'm not going to go there, I have my test results and John has his. Hope things work out fine.

The only compatible lamp on the market is the Cosmolux RCS. The RCS is a 1.6% UVB lamp with a total UV output of about 21 mW/cm², usually a 30-40 max session time.
The RCS is actually stronger than the Excellent ER!

The Dr. Kern full coat lamp is much better!
About a 4% UVB.
