Yoco, I've used both in my ZX 30's and In My Opinion, the Beach Sun 6.5 will make your Tanners happier than the Velocity plus will. They're both excellent lamps, but the savings can be dramatic depending on how many beds you're re-lamping. Call John or E-mail him at URI. You'll get great service from the guys at URI also.

I tried to email John and I didnt get a response from him? I will be relamping all the beds (7 laydowns) and either way I think its going to cost too much..

I wish I would have read this before I relamped my SOlaris 36 w/ the plus. The students who are our primary tanners have been gone so I have yet to hear the results. I have been using the reg ones in my sunvisons 28's. I am not impressed with them and paid $15 for the plus's which is obviously a rip off. When we first changed the lamps being new owners and what not we called ets for lamps and we paid about 15.75 for the regular Velocity lamps. That was a learning experience and waste of money.

Well the students are on winter break so only two people have tanned in the bed. They didn't complain. The biggest complaint with the velocitys is that they do not get hot (which I agree) For whatever reason they believe they must get hot to tan. They come back Jan 12 so I am curious as to what will happen. I am 9 months pregnant so I really can't try them out for another four weeks 8-(
