This post is for anyone out there that may have questions about technical problems that they are having with a Prosun tanning bed. And if you are truly looking for any informative help with a problem that you are having with a Prosun tanning bed, and are not just looking to bash Prosun and it's product line. Please post the problem that you are having in this catagory with as much information as possible about the model of the bed and the serial number of the canopy of the unit, i will do my best to address the post just as soon as i can. If you just going to do as i have seen done in the past on this this web site, and bash Prosun with your opinion of them being "boat anchors" then do not expect a reply.

I've had 4 ProSun beds for 5 years now and have never had a major problem. A few fans stopped working, clients breaking the canopy handles and a couple of 3 minute relay things went bad, other than that it has been smooth sailing. And thanks for you offer to help those who need it.

Still prosun at kmart give me a break. You could use the Supreme Tan Sapphire 3002 Tanning Bed as a commercial bed, and say you were... Well a customer comes in and says hey they sell these beds at kmart....Im just glad i dont have prosun beds!!

I am using T-Max timers on my prosuns. I have one bed that is getting a bit noisy do to the original dial timer. Can I bypass this timer without compromising the T-Max.

I felt that i would try to answer your question, even if was not a technical question. If this is your idea of a technical qestion, then you may want to post it to someone else. _________________ [ This Message was edited by: pugzilla on 2003-10-24 09:04 ] |

If you have adjusted your gas shocks properly, then they should work properly. As far as replacing the shocks goes, this may be a good idea because the shocks that came with these beds are what is called a "Block-o-Lift" type of shock. This type of shock is not only a gas shock, but it also has a type of spring inside of it. This spring works for you and against you, it helps the shock act as if it were a stronger shock, but it also acts as a type of a lock. If you notice when you try to lift or lower the canopy, it is harder to start to move, and then gets easier. Sometimes it is a very fine line when trying to adjust these shocks properly between too heavy and too light, i hope that this information helps you. _________________ [ This Message was edited by: pugzilla on 2003-10-24 09:06 ] |
