I am interested in purchasing 2 new beds for my salon. Does anyone know the difference between VHR bulbs and Speed bulbs? I have 4 Speed system beds and can't decide between getting the Solaris plus 42 and the Dr. Kern 42/4 CX VHR. Does anyone have one of these and could help me with this.

I spent the last hour reading the old Dr. Kern posts which talk about the 32/0 beds and this is the newer model that I was interested in I was hoping someone may have the 42/4 model I am interested in. It seems you get alot of bed for the money, but I am worried about how they are constructed. And the bulbs have me really confused. I own several Dr. Mueller beds but right now I can't afford to purchase more of them.

Personally, I would go with the VHR. Dr Kern or whomever. The Solaris 42/3F is a nice bed, very comfortable, people like. The results are not a lot better then my 32/1F base beds. The Solaris uses 100W lamps top and bottom. With the true VHR you will get 160W lamps top and bottom. The more wattage the more UVA which equals a darker longer lasting tan.
