have u considered how many years you will be using it?For a lot of people visiting the local salon is cheaper , there's no hassles of moving it /or finding a repair man when something goes wrong/ or the pain of friends wanting to use it (just when you sit down to dinner)or not using it enough to justify the cost(ever buy exercise equipment?)After stating all that & you still want one look for one w/staggered bulbs (they are designed for people over 6ft. tall) A used unit is fine if the acrylic is in good shape (have them take it out & look at it off the bed) also used bulbs should last a long time if it is just the two of you (the more people using it in a short period of time makes the bulbs wear out faster. Hope this helps. Tom
