I have several beds i am interested in replacing bulbs. I am a new salon owner and just learning about different bulbs, I have called several place for information and prices. I have
1 - sundome 325-vs-r, 2 starpower 225r & 255r 5 sunstar 175r & 205r that needs to be replaced. I would also like to upgrade to the highest level i can do and still be within the rules of OHIO. I am in a regulated state (OHIO). I am looking for the best bulbs and prices to purchase my bulbs. Can someone be honest and tell me if wolf or is there a compatably bulb that works better than what i have in my beds now. and someone i can call for honest information. |

Sue:
There are two separate issues that you must consider. 1. There are sunlamps available claiming compatibility with the sunlamps you are currently using. 2. However, you may make "null and void" your product warranty and the manufacturers product liability insurance by using a sunlamp that is not listed on the bed label. This step may also void your salon insurance. Therefore, I suggest that you check with the manufacturer to determine their policy on replacement lamps. Don |

Here are some compatible choices:
Speed 325 VSR: LSI Signature Series Plus 160 Speed 225R: Cosmolux VLR, Philips Swift R, LSI Signature Series 100w R Speed 175: Cosmolux Goldarium S Plus Philips Swift All these lamps are compatible, and you will save a ton of $$$ over those ETS lamps. Hello Don,
The key word is that ETS "MAY" void warranty. Most companies will make that claim but would be insane to inforce it for credibility reasons. The question is, if a company was to TRY and inforce this claim based on the lamp creating the problem in the unit, would it hold up in court? Compatible lamps will not cause internal damage to equiptment, thus no basis for a company to really inforce this claim. It's just another way for a manufacturer to keep you comming back for more. Call it FEAR FACTOR if you will but it seems to work well for Trevor... uvlighthouse.com |
