Just got a postcard in the mail. No company name on it at all. Just an 800 number.
It states:
220 Watts: This is really going to hurt the competition!
Before you make any decision ot purchase high performance ewuipment, you owe it to yourself to find out what real high performance can do for your salon.

What is this?

That would be the new Sun Capsule unit.

Comes with an 75" lamp (1.9M).
With new 220 W choke style ballast.

This unit will have to be about a 7 minute stand up.

Is a 7 minute session as opposed to an 8 minute session really worth all the costs and bother. Just Hype.

Also... I would like to know from Don Smith what he thinks about the shorter sessions as compared to the longer sessions when talking in terms of not only colour but health benefits.

As well, the 2 meter lamp is a 185 watt lamp but Suncapsule is overpowering it with 220 w ballasts. You could do the same with your well made metal beds or stand-ups by using a buck booster to elevate your voltage from 220 to 255. Your performance goes up but the longevity of the lamp goes down... somewhere around 125-150 hours.... but oh what a 150 hours it would be!

Do people really want shorter sessions?
Do the salon owners want shorter session???-Salon owners want more tanners in the same amount of time...but, whats with this whole race on getting shorter session times.....whats the difference between a 12 minute bed, and a 9 minute bed, of course the 3 minutes, but Ask yourself this question, Why do people want shorter sessions???

I have heard that people actually like the 20 minute beds...because they get away from the "real World" for the 20 minutes, away from their kids, away from the hubby or wifey, away from everything....

I don't mind the 9 minute bed, the 12 minute bed, or the 12 minute standup...but, are they really going to go all the way?

??? Imagine "BEHOLD the 1 minute standup" ???
Whats gonna happen when it gets to that? Or is it scientifically possible???

Just some opinions....

1 minute Standup?? Yep, it's already here!! It's called Mist On Tan, or Mystic Tan. Basically it's spray painting! Now, about those 7 minute standup units, have you ever stood in one of those things for 20 minutes?? Trust me, it ain't much fun. Yeah, I think 8-10 minutes is a BIG selling point when it comes to Standup Tanning. Gotta hand it to SunCapsule, they're always pushing the envelope.

I like the 12 min. VHR beds, I get antsi in a 20 min. bed anymore. I got use to tanning 12-15 mins.

As for the booth, I think 10 min. is way long enough to stand there.

yes teresa, got my attention but no call.
