I have the 20 minute ESB Grande Bed.
Not to sound full of myself, but I have a great base tan, since last winter, and I wanted to know if I should use my bed the full 20 minutes, or would it give me the same amount of color, if I used it for around 12-15 minutes? The reason is, it gets SOOO HOT, and I just cannot stay in the bed for the full 20 minutes. ANy Info on this??? Thanks Melty AkA Chris |

Melty,
If your bed is getting that hot in a single 20 minute session, you must have a air flow problem. It could be a fan not working, or it could be that you have the bed in a small, un-ventilated area. If your bed is over heating, then it will not be able to perform as efficiently. Once the bed is over heated, the output of the lamps will drop dramatically. Let us know what you find. |

Its in a room, with a window right next to it...
I used a HOT tingle lotion the last couple of sessions, and it was almost 90 degrees here 2day, and I had no A/C on today in my house I think it was because it was humid and hot out, before when I was tanning. I will check to see if the fans are all running.. There are 2 fans on the top and 3 on the bottom. If I use a little fan at the foot of the bed, that would help right??? thanks Melty AkA Chris _________________ Trust me its paradise~ This is where the hungry come to feed~ For mine is a generation that circles the globe in search of something we havent tried before~ So never refuse an invitation~ Never resist the unfamiliar~ [ This Message was edited by: Meltdbutta on 2002-09-10 22:56 ][ This Message was edited by: Meltdbutta on 2002-09-10 23:11 ] |

You should have as many, or more fans in the bottom as you do in the top. Check them all.
Your tanning room may not be set up like a salon for extra good air flow, but you can use fans to help move some air and if you have an a/c vent in that room, I recommend you have it on while tanning. This should help. |

I checked the fans and they all work fine.
I think it was the combination of the tingle lotion and the heat in the room. It will def. be cooling down now, this summer was HOT HOT HOT! didnt use the bed once! Now, I have started using it, since I haven't been getting to the beach as often...lol thanks for the help.... Also, what about the other question... Can I use it for 12-15 minutes and still get the same results??? No, you won't get the same results in 10-15 minutes. It's like going outside for a few minutes and expecting to get a tan, it just ain't happening. If you expect to stay as dark as possible, you need to working toward staying 20 minutes. If you are satisified with the tan you have, you can maintain a light tan with the shorter sessions.
