Need to order new lamps??

We are currently using Cosmolux lamps in our Puretan Cal 30 20 min beds. We like them and have great results from the but I am wondering if there is another lamp that someone is using that might out preform the ones we carry. Price is not an issue want to provide results that my clients see. I have considered trying half of our salon with X brand and the other half with Cosmolux to see the difference but then you get the people who request the beds and it becomes a problem. Has anyone used Cosmolux or any new ideas on what I should purchase?

160 Watt Cosmolux VHR lamps?????? That is what lamp we have in our standup units and maximum exposure time is 10 minutes. I have also tried Signature Series but did not like them as well. I just put Bronzing Sun VHR in two beds this past weekend but they have not been used enough to judge yet.

Probably an ESP, 100w non-reflective - that's what we use in our 20 min. We use the Cosmolux VHR 160's in our stand-up and big Tanses 7 min bed.

We've been happy with them, but I'm always looking for something better!

Anyone?

Thanks everyone. I guess I am just wanting something new and have great results we have been using them for a while now and I need a change.

Nicloe 74, it's going to be hard to beat that Cosmolux lamp. They are well made and have a low UVB output. That is the kind of tan our customers are looking for. I did use some Velocity lamps in one bed that also have a low UVB output, and I've got customers that will only use that bed, they love it!! You might try the Philips Advantage lamps. They also have a low UVB content. I am thinking of putting them in a couple beds soon myself. I've used a number of Wolff lamps, (Everglo, Diamond Sun) and gotten good comments. It's just hard to beat the Cosmolux lamps for quality and performance. They are a bit pricey, is my only complaint.

Teresa, I am currently trying some Signature Series 160W VHR lamps in place of Cosmolux. What was your complaint with the Sig. Series? So far they seem to be performing well. Have you tried any of the Philips lamps? They are supposed to be high quality and operate about 20% cooler than other brands.

bsmart - how do the Phillips 160's tan? I'd love to find a cooler lamp - especially for my 55 lamp booth. I'm still waiting for the first to faint in that oven!
