Ok everyone, I want to get a ten minute bed in the salon and I have been looking at the Dr kerns and the Sundash Competition 232, I'm favoring the Sundash, they are price around the same price $5900.00.
Or are there any others to take a look at that are in the same category, what do you suggest Thanks[ This Message was edited by: cyanamid on 2002-06-26 17:30 ] |

Do you want a 10 min session bed that uses 100 watt High UVB lamps to make the session short, or do you want a 160 watt lamp one using true high UVA lamps.
Do you want it to tan or do you want it to burn? Its best to use higher wattage lamps to shorten the session then a lower wattage lamp using hight uvb to shorten the session. Lots to think about! |

Our new Double Shot is a 10 minute bed with the 2 meter lamp. You can see it at http://www.midwestsunco.com. I suggest charging between $14-$16 walk in prices on this bed.If you have any other questions on it please e mail me.
Thank You Jeff[ This Message was edited by: JeffinKC on 2002-07-01 14:08 ] |

We just got a new bed in its a SUN Ergoline 600 and this bed will tan you like no other Ive tried before. This is a 12 minute bed and we get 12.00 per session for it. This bed has A.C that will blow you away, 4 facial tanners, shoulder tanners, everything a serrious tanner could ask for.
I highly suggest you get this bed its a great investment. Weve been booked ever since we got the bed ( sunday) nonstop all day long. |

I can tell you which one I would NOT suggest. That is the old Sunal or the Perfect Tan ... used to be Sunal & is now called Perfect Tan. I have no complaints about the results, but it is a pure nightmare to maintain. The acrylics don't want to come out & the facials are a total joke to take apart for cleaning & changing. It is the worst investment I have made since I opened last year.

If you are talking LP 100 watt 10 minute bed, which is different from a 160 watt one, I personally have the Sundash. It works great but the tan doesn't last as long due the high UVB (Aprox. 8.5%), so I find that only certain customers like the tan. Quick and dark, but fades fast.
Works great to get clients through when you are busy. I also find that type 3 and 4 (naturally dark skinned people) love the tan, but if they are fair, it is not worth it for them. |

Cyanamid, I would recommend you get the Tanses T32VH bed. It does a great job using 160W Cosmolux VHR lamps with a low UVB content. The clients really like the results. It is a simple design, and easy to maintain, and the price is very reasonable. You can check em' out at www.Tanses.com I have had 2 of these beds for a couple years now, and am very pleased with their performance. My clients were reluctant to go from a 20 minute bed to the 10 minute bed, but once they gave it a try, they never looked back. These beds are quite intense and do a long lasting job.

Since you mention the Sundash unit and you ask for others in that league, then I think you are looking for a level one 100 watt 10 minute bed. Not many of those. I think Puretan still offers this option so think about an Impact. Mega-Sun offers a 10 minute version. That's all I can think of. The Sundash is the nicest one but realise it has an electonic timer built in.
