We call Waste management who take them away and we pay a disposal fee..
It is the right thing to do, the responsible thing to do!.. Why put those in land fills!!! If you can't afford to do the right thing.. DON'T BE IN BUSINESS!!! These bulbs are toxic when broken and left in a land fill.. You would not dispose of needles or oil or poison in a land fill.. Why would you not properly dispose of used bulbs.. Call waste management they will advise you on proper disposal..and the cost of doing it right.. Protect our childrens future.. Protect our land..and water supply.. |

Go to www.bulbeater.com.
This thing is great for salons. It can eat I think about 1200 lamps before you need to replace filter. It seperates the mercury form everything else. So then you just throw the glass out. The filter needs to be removed & disposed of properly. |

I've sold many of my used lamps to people who own home tanning units. About $2 per lamp and they pick them up. I don't have time to do this often, but it is just an alternative that doesn't cost money. (Like everything else)
