(wouldn't want to pee him off)
Have you tried turning the lamps over at half the life.(from head to toe)

Sounds like the filaments are wearing and causing the lamps to blow out.Especially if they are still reading good on the meter.

John, I'm interested in this "turn the lamps over" comment. What is the purpose of that? Please explain in detail.

I already top drop and it seems the heraus lamps get a real black band at the end opposite the end where the starters are .

Wht starters are being used?We have seen problems with the life of the 160 watt lamps when used with the S-12 or K-12.Te starters work ok for a while but are not rated for the 160 watt lamp.Use the Cleo power 160 starter
