Yesterday my husband & I set out to maintance clean one of our beds.Towels,Novus 1 &2,cloth gloves, feather duster, vacuum & pipecleaners in hand, we where ready to tag team one of our beds.Question our sunstar 32- 3F has 3 fans on top of the canopy that you cannot take off the metal grateings that cover the top of the fans, how do you clean the fans? I feel really stupid on this one, so far we have tried toothbrushes, small kitchen brushes & of course the vacuum cleaner notheing seems to get them cleaned. So yesterday we used pipecleaners, alittle limp, but they pulled out alot of dust bunnies. But this process took us almost 3 hours just to clean the canopy inside & out.Does anyone have a easier way?I was looking @ one of those computer vacuums for sale in Vikeing, do you think they would be good @ cleaning a bed. Thanks Amy

Just peel the top off. It tucks under the rail. Go easy since it can be brittle. Will save 2:55 minutes.

How stupid do you feel now? God forbid any of the parts burn out in the bed, you will have to throw it away. You know you asked so I told you. The top of the bed removes very easily. To remove the bottom tie a rope around the bed and flip it on its side. I only serviceand install tanning equipment everyday for a living so sorry to steer you in the wrong direction. Don't forget to check that all the fans exhaust out of the bed. ETS's crack em up *** embly team tends to not pay attention to the direction of the fan when they bolt it in the bed and this causes the face tanner sub-assemblies to melt and catch on fire. (try to get a replacement) When you are in there, mount the fans correctly and you will reduce the down time of these units and they will run a little cooler.

Okay Brian,I still do not know how to take your reply,as if you are trying to help me or stomp on me for owning ETS beds?Yes I own ETS,don't hate me for it,it doesnt make me less of a person then anyone else.I now have more of a understanding of how I put my money & trust in the wrong company. Now I'm left hanging.I do know ,that I want to maintain my beds the best I can, so I can get as much as I can out of them.So I now turn to the forums for help & advise, not to be put down(I wish I found these forums before I opened, choices that were made would be different, but since I can't turn back the clock I have to go on!)Do you realize that I am talking about the sunstar not the sunvision?I notice screws at each end of the canopy, should or can I unscrew them & go in that way?As for the fans the ones above the face tanner blow out,the ones in the middle of the canopy suck in air,is this right?Or do I have to call the company up & have them replaced? Thanks Amy

Do not remove the screws on the end caps. The end caps will fall off and the bed will come crashing down. Sorry but I took your answer to be sarcastic. Let's bury the hatchet. You can access the fans from under the reflectors. The acrylic and the lamps need to be removed first. In my experience with ETS the beds cool better if all of the fans exhaust out of the bed. 100 cfm fans don't have enough push to move the heat through the bed. They work more efficiently if they suck it out of the bed. This inherently keeps the inside of the bed much cleaner too since dirt and dust isn't being directly forced into the bed. Wait till you see the crap inside when you get it all the way open. (depending on age and the location of your salon) Not saying that your salon is dirty but being close to a road will allow more dirt to infiltrate into the salon when the door is opened than one located in a strip mall with a large parking lot. The reflectors will be screwed into the bed. Hope this helps.
