We had two fans go out on the same bed, but the place was filthy when we took over. Cleaned each of the beds and vented the dryer (hadn't been done for 2, yes 2 years). Dust and lint is much more managable now.

These are exterior fans. They are mounted on the wall on the foot end of the bed. They still run, but sounds like a bad bearing. It's very noisey, and sounds like the place is falling apart.
I have checked and they are very clean. So dust isn't the problem. I just can't believe that they fall apart in that short of time.

make sure you keep them free of dust. also check to see if all of the screws that hold it together, the casing, the wire grid, etc, are tight. i've seen the same problem...here and there. i wouldn't call it a widespread problem...but definitely make sure your distributor is aware of the problem you have been having...

once the units are out of warranty, you don't have to buy the entire fan. the plastic casing is sold separately: top fan housing retails at 21.95, same for the bottom. the internal fan is also sold separately for 129.95.

let me know if you need help. teri@fstanning.com.

I had problems with these same fans on our sundash. it drove me crazy for a couple of weeks and I could not tell where the loud noise was coming from. I ran the bed until I found the noise and it was the fan. Forever Tan was kind enough to send me a new fan. These fans must be pretty cheap
