We change them everytime we relamp a bed, and haven't had any problems doing it that way.

We carry lamps from philips, light emission tech, light source, cosmedico, wolff, and interlectric. We are one of only 3 authorized philips distributors in the usa.And are the exclusive importers of light emission lamps.99% of inventory is tanning lamps. We do not sell general lighting lamps.

There is a new starter called the Optistart. It will light any lamp from 15 watt to 200 watts. It is fully electronic has digital circuitry, and we have been testing them against the solar start and philips s-12.It does light the lamp much faster, and seems to stop the ends from getting black. We have even powered 160 watt lamps at 220 watts and it still stops the black ends.
