Sherry:You have asked two questions.1. What are some expamples of quality lamps.2. Where can I get the best lamp for my situation at the best price.First of all, please let me know the type of sunbed (number of lamps, maximum timer interval, etc.) you have. This information is necessary in order to recommend specific lamps.Next, please let me know more about where Sparta is. Are you near Toronto?I'll respond again after knowing the answers to the above questions.Don

Michael:We have just completed testing several lamps that might be of interest to you.Q1: Is this the 20 minute or 15 minute maximum timer interval sunbed?Q2: Are the original lamps reflector type?Don

Tommy:Interelectric is a very reputable company. We will test some more of their lamps after the 1st of the year. We have tested their Panther lamp that is designed for use in 10 minute MTI (maximum timer interval) sunbeds and it reaches 4.0 in slightly under 10 minutes. All 5.0 UVB lamps manufactured by a specific lamp manufacturer will be the same no matter what "private label" name is printed on them. That does not necessarily mean that it tests out at exactly 5.0 UVB but all of the lamps manufacturered in that "batch" will be the same. One of the reasons we set up the UVR Research Institute was to standardize the testing of lamps (and sunbeds). We think that tanning salon owners deserve to have an independent rating of sunlamps.Hope this helps.Don

Michael,I just asked Don about the interlectric bulbsI called Tracy at interlectric 800-722-2184and ordered replacement bulbs ( I was concerned about the energy increase so I ordered 400 lamps) anyway these are compatable to the vip gold lamps in our 32 lamp Tan America beds. I paid $7.05 each and received free shipping, I saved a ton of money & I don't have near as many bulbs as you have. The bulb is a X5000------------------Tommy Lowery

Lamps are very confusing to most of us.Though I've researched and understand low/med/high pressure. I am having trouble understanding why my beds can not use any other bulb except Ultra-Sun
I own Ultra Sun Beds 5000/4, Solar Wind, 3200/3s 3000/1s 3000/0s and according to my rep. NO other bulbs other than Ultra Sun will work in them. Is this true? |
