worked on the bed today. it appears one of the pieces of the filter glass is different than the others. I swapped it out and everthing looks the same now. sigh... I guess it was a squirrel

Seems like it was a different piece of filter glass. Not sure why there was a different one on there, but swapped it out and now everything looks fine. Guess I should be happy it was a "simple" fix, but now I wanna know why we have different types of filter glass in the shop.

With five facials, you could center the darker one. Thats how our beds are all setup. The center of three faces tanners is darker than the others. Less blinding that way.

Also, a flashlight works great to check glass colors. :)

These facials are operated off of two 400wt ballast. One or both may have an issue. I have worked on these units were a ballast is bad and it burns the lamp out. The ballast are taller then the other ballast and there will be two for each lamp.

Your problem is most likely either a capacitor is bad or in the ballast wiring.
