Prosun Luxura 40/3 Help.

In my earlier post I mentioned an overtemp 3 error. I fixed that but now standby shows in my readout but the bed still won't start. The bed does not have an external timer. Bought it used. Had the circuit boards repaired, still wouldn't start. Called Prosun and we finally got it working but I had to move a switch on the circuit board to the right then set the time on the timer and then turn the swith back left and then push start and the bed worked normally. Now standby shows as it did when I first moved the switch but nothing I do gets the bed started.

Which two wires are you jumpering for the remote timer control? Even though the bed didn't come with an external timer, it would have been hooked up to one. It's the round plug on the foot end of the bed behind the vent tubing.

Call whoever you bought the bed from and tell them they sold you an incomplete bed. You need that remote timer plug or it will never work.

Re: Prosun Luxura 40/3 Help.

We got ripped off. Tried contacting them but to no avail. What do I need to fix it? I may be misunderstanding what you mean by Jumper. Is it just a wire that connects to two terminals on the side where the remote wiring is? There is remote wiring coming out of the bed. They just cut the wires on the outside where they go into the bed.

Re: Prosun Luxura 40/3 Help.

At the foot end of the bed behind the exhaust vent, there's a 4 pin round female connector. Plugged into that should be a 4 pin plug with two wires coming out of it.

If that is the case, and is what you're talking about when you say they cut the wires, then tie those two wires together and your bed should work.

If it does work, then those are the wires that go to your Tmax 3A, or whatever room control you are using.

Re: Prosun Luxura 40/3 Help.

The bed does have the remote plug. The wires were not hooked up. I jumpered the two wires which corresponded to the two coming out of the bed which would connect to the remote timer (Brown & Black). Unplugged the unit and then plugged it back in. Now my timer readout says - TIJD 20 MIN 3* - That's Tee EYE Jay Dee. But, nothing I do starts the bed. I have pushed the small reset button on the circuit board also nothing. There is a small switch next to the reset button which we used to have to move in order to get the timer to work. Then we would switch it to the opposite side and then we could push start and the bed would work. But now that doesn't work.

Re: Prosun Luxura 40/3 Help.

Hook those two wires up to a Tmax 3A, or equivalent timer. Power the bed up without the remote circuit activated, then try it. Your language parameter may need to be set. I assume you are hitting the start button too. Does your version have a triac board or a relay board? If you have a triac board, there should be a bank of LEDs lit up when the bed is turned on, and at least one or two when it is off, I think.

Prosun should be able to walk you through this.
