rdc end caps

what's the chances of being able to take the end caps off the lamps and reuse them again. I am re lamping a bed and was told i can use the old rdc caps on the new lamps.

Has anyone been successfull at doing this?

Re: rdc end caps

Re: rdc end caps

Not a good idea, too hard to take off and you can damage them taking them off and end up burning up lampholders and lamps.

Re: rdc end caps

Really. Hmmm. Did they come on the lamps or were they put onto a Bi Pin lamp to convert it or are they one in the same?

Re: rdc end caps

well....I did try to take one or two off some old lamps i was getting ready trash. It won't work. Most of the time, the little metal things in side the caps will come off and stay hung on the bi pins of the lamp itself and come out of the rdc holder.
Sarge, I need to get w/ you on some ingnitors. Will try you on monday.
