Lightbulb New bulbs, acrylic clean, still not tanning?

I have a Klafsun Europa, I just put new Wolf Merridian 160 watt bulbs, polished the acrylics, and metered the bed, still not tanning the bottom only. Any suggestions? Thank you!

What did the meter read? What meter are you talking about? WHat's the tan time of the bed? What did you polish the acrylics with?

Also, what does STILL NOT TANNING THE BOTTOM ONLY mean?

Pull the acrylics and meter the lamps, then put the acrylics back on and meter them again. If you see a huge difference in meter readings, the acrylics need to be replaced.
Also check the voltage coming in when the bed is running and make sure that it is the correct amount needed to run the bed.

Unless these acryllics are tinted a hard yellow they can't be blocking a huge amount of light...unless the polish had UV protection in it which A LOT of them do.

Not true my angry little friend. I had a brand new acrylic and there was a 20% drop in uv output. Bad batch.

When you order from Vito 2 Toes you can get mixed results.

Re: New bulbs, acrylic clean, still not tanning?

Thanks for all of you input. Sorry for not being clear. First I mean the bottom is not tanning, the top is tanning fine. This is a 12 minute bed. Metered with a 6.0. We used the Novus #1 polish on the front and back of acrylic. I have three of these beds, I did the same to all of them. They all measure the same on the meter, but this particular bed is not tanning the backside of people. Tried it myself three tans, diffently not as strong.
Thanks again

Re: New bulbs, acrylic clean, still not tanning?

huh. Well the 6.0 will show you if there's a drop due to the acrylic. That's the only thing I can think of.

Re: New bulbs, acrylic clean, still not tanning?

Novus #1 is more of a cleaner than a polish. But I like the stuff a lot, step 2 is the real polish goo.

As mentioned, take the sheet outta there and meter.

Re: New bulbs, acrylic clean, still not tanning?

Measured the uvb again with the 6.0 solarmeter. The bulbs measured 74, with and without the acrylic. The bulbs measured stronger at the end of the bulb, and weaker than at the top. Where the bulb is closer to the igniter is lower in strength. How do I check the voltage?
