I recently bought a few 2001 sunstar zx30 beds with built in timers. The beds came with a "chip" (it looks like a piece of a phone cord with a black end on it) that plugs in to where the jacks are to hook your timers up. Apparently this "chip" lets you run the bed from the timer located in the bed as opposed to having a master timer up at the front of the salon. The display inside the bed is flashing the numbers 88 and we tried a number of things but nothing seems to work. Do these timers need to be set in some way? Anyone that could give any information on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks

I dont think there is a chip in that, just a loop of wire with a resistor. Either way that plug should work. I just tried on on a bed in either socket and it worked, but its 2003. I *think* in 2001 the plug had to be on a certain side. Have you tried both plugs?

I am going to try both sides tonight that might be the problem, I guess I can try and wire it to an outside timer as well and see if that works. Thanks for the reply.

Bad news 88 is keypad, timer or low voltage. That timers a g when available.

I tried getting it to work last night and no luck. We are going to try an external timer today and see if that works, thanks for your reply
