hp facial issues

Santa barbara bed. 1- 400 watt high pressure facial went out.
Upon removing the bulb there was a white film ,very similar to the inside incandescent light bulb, cleaned up fairly easy, not super issue but still would like to know what it is. It was in another bed as well.-
I replaced the bulb- didnt work-
Now I call Tan America.
They sent me ignitor and new contacts for bulb.
Replaced everything no luck-
they now tell me to contact a repair man , 6 hours away
i would like to see if i can do this myself
ANY ADVICE

Re: hp facial issues

Check all of your connections. Check the safety switch on the cassette. The switch needs to be closed for the lamp to light.

The white film is from exsessive heat. You do not have enough A/C.

Re: hp facial issues

all connections are straight. switch has been closed,
can you tell how the connection works between the ballast and the igniter?

Re: hp facial issues

do you have 240 v before the ignitor? start looking for a loose wire, and make sure all cooling fans are working, just because they spin does not mean they are spinning fast enough
