Heartland's Ovation 6400 and TMax PRO
I've been trying to address my 6400 to my TMAX Pro. I did something really stupid apparently because on the third try, the bed lost power after a low, muffled, thump sound came from the room. I ran in there to make sure the thing wasn't on fire - it wasn't. (Thank God) But, it did smell very hot in the room. Not "Electrical" hot, just warm hot. And it was. I checked the power thing on the wall that's connected to the buck-booster and it was still powered on, it hadn't tripped. I checked outside at the meter and that hadn't tripped. I have no idea what happened, but I have a feeling it's internal to the bed itself. Of course, it happens on a Sunday... the day before we open this location. I'm so frustrated and hope it'll be an easy fix. I'm afraid to turn it back on but figure I'd better to see if it shut itself off because it was just too hot.
Any ideas from 6400 owners? Thanks, Elise.

Re: Heartland's Ovation 6400 and TMax PRO
Sound like the bed's CPU (computer) blew out. I had that happen once. Fun fun. Something was not wired right and after about 10 minutes of power-on time (not running) it went up.
Either way the T-Max could not have done it, all the T-Max does it send data to the bed. After thats done the T-Max can even be un-plugged and disconnected from the network for beds and the beds should continue on just fine. From what you describe it sounds like an issue with the bed, call the manufacturer ASAP and see what they say! |

Re: Heartland's Ovation 6400 and TMax PRO
Thank you Unity. I appreciate your response.
The opening day of our first shop, the town had 3 power outages consecutively. At least this time, we haven't advertised our opening day yet. I love this 6400 and hope that the issue can be corrected tomorrow...or, at least within the week. Thanks again! ~Elise.

Three power outages across town? I wonder if there was a surge then that blew it out. Like I said, call the manufacturer and see what they can do, next step would be the insurance company.
