non tanning lamp question

this is not about a tannig lamp but i figured someone who knows about this stuff could elaborate on it

i just put 2 new lamps in my outdoor sign and 1 of them is looking strange....inside the lamp it looks like the light is swirling (alot) which is causing it to kinda flash.

could this be a bad lamp. ive never seen anything like it

well its now dark out and it looks fine with the cover on. so i guess ill just leave it.

u know what they say wear in or wear out!

no different than a tanning lamp, it may burn in & be fine.

You'd better use a couple of meters to collect some data on it - it could be used or have a subaverage photon output and you would never know just by looking at it. Embrace the technology available at your fingertips for a mere fraction of the cost of not using it. Words to live by my friends. Carry on.
