Unhappy Re: BED TECH NEEDED

I've got 1 ETS Solaris bed that has 1 facial that won't come on. Changed lamp with new one still want come on.

Then I have 1 ETS Solaris bed that all 3 facials won't go off.

Then I also have 1 Montego Bay V-56 that has 1 lamp that wonn't come on either. I changed the lamp, the starter and checked wattage going to the lamp. Wattage was fine. But lamp still will not come on.

Bad ignitor, bad heat sensor, bad connection, bad lampholder. Could be any one of these. Most likely the ignitor though.

Stuck contactor or bad timer brain.

Do you mean voltage? The wattage would be zero if the lamp is not lit. How did you measure this? lampholder to ground or lampholder to lampholder? What was the reading?

Could be a bad connection on the lampholder or a bad ballast.

Re: BED TECH NEEDED

I had the same problem with my ets equipment and it turned out to be a bad capacitor... see if the capacitor got triggered

Re: BED TECH NEEDED

Capacitors would not cause these problems. A bad cap would cause the unit to draw more current and trip the breaker.

Sorry, I meant voltage. My husband checked it so I'm not sure if he checked it to ground or lamp holder. But he did say it was getting the proper voltage.

Re: BED TECH NEEDED

I had a bad capacitor on my starpower, and it caused the facials to stay on and the bed not to run after it was off.

Probably had some burned connections with that that created a short.

Re: BED TECH NEEDED

Another thing on the V-56. The ballasts are located in a separate box. Check the connecting cords and make sure the collars are tight. They will snap when they are fully tightened. If they are loose, one of the pins might not be connected in the plug or if they are loose one of the pins could be burned from not being fully connected.
