Question Magic tan service center contacts?

Does anyone know if Magic Tan has a national service center that one could call with questions? I have some problems with my 3000 and can't get my distsy to return my phone calls. I don't think I have the correct psi pressure in order to open the spray heads properly. Does anyone know what the correct settings should be on the gauges and how to adjust them? Thank you

Re: Magic tan service center contacts?

You need 100psi minimum before the regulator and 45psi after. If the pressure from the compressor is below 100, the unit will not fire.

For fluid pressure, press and release the purge button and read the round guage on top of the flow meter. It should read 15. If it is out of range, adjust the bypass valve a half turn at a time until it is at 15.

Re: Magic tan service center contacts?

You need to adjust the "fluid" as well. First thing to do is adjust bypass to 15 lbs like Brian said. After adjusting the bypass , adjust the fluid setting to 13 gph (observe the flow guage.) These settings are for dual bank models only.

Those settings are fine for single stage too.

Re: Magic tan service center contacts?

Well I tried to get all the settings as instructed. I can't seem to get gph up to 13. fluctuates between 10 and 12. I had all the nozzles spraying and then they just seem to plug up. I had the four upper sets spraying and all the rest seem to just squirt a stream of solution out about 6 inches. I purged the system and have run the magic tan cleaning solution thru many times. My ditsy is 400 miles away and won't return my phone calls and I called the company. They told me that I need a service contract with them in order to get the their help. If I don't have that (which I don't), I have to continue to try to get the ditsy to help me. I think that this would be my clue not to buy Magic Tan. What a friggen joke!!

Re: Magic tan service center contacts?

Gary,

Those settings are for dual bank units only. Dual bank means that 2 rows fire off spray at the same time. If you have a single bank unit the bypass is set at 15 lbs. Do this adjustment first then set your flow to 7 or 8 lbs. You can set the bypass when the magic is spraying instead of during the purge process. If some of your banks arent misting but squirting I would check air lines etc as well. If an entire bank is just squirting maybe a crapped out selenoid is the problem.

Re: Magic tan service center contacts?

My unit has 36 spray nozzels and does spray from 2 rows at the same time. I'll try setting the flow at 8 lbs and try that. Is the solution supposed to squirt out of the nozzels during the purge? I am supposing it is.

Re: Magic tan service center contacts?

It is supposed to p.iss out the nozzles during the purge. Every time you release and press and hold the purge button it will switch to the next bank up. This is to bleed all of the lines. When purging, it should p.iss out about halfway into the chamber about as far as the drain. Not hit the door.

If it is hitting the door then either the bypass valve is bad or out of adjustment or there is a clog or clogs.
