Facial not coming on - Page 2

Oh crap. They might be daisy chaining the ballasts to run the lamps....hmmm. That's crazy. Maybe they aren't getting enough juice? Is the bed connected via Buckboost?

Also, when MY facials turn on they make a very unique turn on noise. Are you still hearing them starting and then they just "flicker" till they are on OR are they not doing anything and then ON.

Also, I've heard rumors that these things have delayed internal fans that maybe heat triggered or time. Sometimes if the air isn't blowing the facials won't turn on as they have a little flap switch that is controled by the air blowing.

Other than that it's mostlikely not a burn out as you'd smell it. Also if it's been doing this for a while then maybe the ignitors they use aren't the "good ones". (what ever those are)

thanks. Yes there is a buckbooster. seems that usually they are not coming on at all and then all the sudden boom ON...I know the noise you mean too :) A couple clients said that they came on but seemed "dim" and then after 2-3 mins they heard the noise and they brightened????? I have only witnessed the not coming on and then suddenly on phenonmenon

To be honest, i think its just ETS units, we have alot of problems with our ETS facials.

If you are having that much difficulty diagnosing and/or fixing the problem it may be beneficial for you to pay a bed tech to get to the bottom of it.

How handy are you with a meter and wiring schematics?

WHO SAID IT FIRST!!!!!! That's RIGHT! Get that thing MAX POWER!!!!! It's probably doing all it can to get the rest of the bed going that the facials don't get anything till the initial start up draw has backed off.
